The spa Hammam Essalihine of the municipality of El Hama (Khenchela) Thursday reopened its doors to spa guests after the completion of the requalification process begun in December 2014, does one found.
A festive atmosphere marked the opening ceremony chaired by the Wali Khenchela Bekouch Hamou, who stressed during the historic importance to the region of this tourist structure par excellence.
Highlighting the location in the middle of a mountainous forest and enchanting site of the station known for the therapeutic properties of its waters, the head of the province called for the preservation of this acquis by regular maintenance, improved services and protection of the immediate environment.
It also called for the multiplication of hotel facilities and services to make the area a major destination for spa tourism.
The Wali also said that the management of the station is currently provided by the Communal Assembly pending the development of a specification and possibly the development of this type of equipment management business.
A budget of 190 million DA was necessary for the redevelopment of the station includes, besides the two basins of the Roman period (by men), two other pools for women, 40 bathrooms and 51 rooms for the stay spa guests and a treatment room and another massage, told the APS director of public facilities, Farid Tabori.
